The Outdoor Bowls section has its own natural bowling green which is one of the best grass greens in Canterbury. With the season running from September to late March members have a busy programme with Club and Inter-Club Championships for both men and women, plus local open tournaments for mixed teams.

The KC Outdoor Bowls Section has two open roll-up afternoons each week throughout the season:

1:30 pm Saturdays (Club Day)
1:00 pm Tuesdays
New and prospective bowlers are welcome to join in these informal team games which are suitable for all skill levels, but particularly suitable for beginners as they are very social. They are a great way to learn from other bowlers the basic rules and become familiar with the various game formats in a relaxed environment. Teams are drawn from those in attendance and games last for approximately 2 hours, after which the bar is usually open for members to socialise and have a drink. Casual bowlers can drop in and participate in these afternoons for a $5 fee.

Club bowls are available for use and assistance offered for fun corporate/school afternoons and evenings.

For the 2023/24 season we have an introductory offer of FREE first year membership for new and past members.
