Billiards and Snooker

Our section has four large billiard tables which is located on the first floor of the Kaiapoi Club. Both Billiards and Snooker are played.

Cards

This section playes Inter-Club Euchre and Crip on Saturday afternoons April through to September. Also running two Euchre and one Crip Sunday Tournament throughout the year. AGM Tuesday 22nd 7pm.

Creative Arts

A new section to join the Kaiapoi Club. Plans for this section in the future include Gallery visits, Art Trails and Outdoor sketching days. It's all crafts not just painting. AGM Thursday 10th March 11am.

Section Membership: $10 and $2 extra for Tea & Coffee

Darts

An active section within the Club. Our Dart members have regular tournaments at local areas. Summer darts played from September till January and the Inter-Club season from March to October.

Meet: Summer Darts Tuesday 7pm, Inter-Club Wednesday 7pm

Fishing

Another active section within the Club. This section is very social having outings during the year with one annual trip to the Methven Races in October. Fishing year round but the season runs from April to March where Champion of Champions is held.

Garden

This section is responsible for the Kaiapoi Club gardens. Also having a variety of speakers covering gardening topics that attend meetings with the opportunity to visit gardens of interest.

Golf

The Golf Section is for Golfers of all abilities. Details of each monthly event are posted on the Section's noticeboard located in the Club. Section Members also have the opportunity to represent the Club in both Ladies and Men's National and South Island Chartered Tournaments on an annual basis. AGM held on Sunday March 27th at the Rangiora Golf Club.

Section Membership: $10 Subscription and $17 Green Fees

Indoor Bowls

The season runs from February until the end of September. Section members have the opportunity of representing the Club at New Zealand and South Island Chartered Club Tournaments as well as many Canterbury and North Canterbury events.

Marching

The Kaiapoi Club Gold Marchers were formed in 1999. Practice is held once a week on a Monday at 1pm, either at the Club or particulary during fine weather at an adjoining park. Age is no barrier with the emphasis on fun and friendship. The Team travels to South Island Leisure Marching Field days on an annual basis.

Outdoor Bowls

The Club has it's own bowling green. With the season running from September to April members have a very busy programme with Club Championships, Center Championships, Local and Open Tournament and Social Bowls. AGM Monday 14th March 7pm

Pool

This section currently has One Men's and One Ladies Team which play in the Canterbury Inter - Club competition held from March to October.

Meet: Monday Nights - Practice 6.30pm, Tuesday Nights - Men's Competition, Wednesday Nights - Ladies Competition on a Home & Away basis.

Shooting

The Shooting section has a purpose built trap shooting facility located 5 minutes from central Kaiapoi. From our clubrooms we provide snacks, raffles and refreshments for our members and guests. We can host 50 people comfortably and cater for shooters of all ages and experience.

Meet: Monthly on Sunday at 9.30am. (Events are all weather)

Section Membership: $12

Table Tennis

The Table Tennis Section currently has a financial membership of 27 including Junior Members. Interclub competition starts the first Tuesday in April and finishes in September currently we have four teams entered two B Grade and two C Grade teams, we also have One team entered in the North Canterbury Table Tennis Sub Association. We do enter teams in the Canterbury Table Tennis which is played at Blenheim Road on a Wednesday night.

Coaching is unavailable at this time but uf you are available to coach some of our newer players please contact us on the number below.

South Island Competition is being held this year at Oamaru 25th - 27th August and we will be sending teams.

We welcome any new members/players to our section. We can supply you with a bat and ball for the night till you have your own.

This section organises at 7 day trips each year as well as one 5 or 6 day trip a year.
